The stock take recording is based on many years of experience in the development of inventory apps and ensures a smooth workflow. Thats why we have designed the interface to be as intuitive as possible, so that even inexperienced staff can quickly become productive. The data entry fields are labeled in a self-explanatory manner and are supposed to be filled in by the user one after the other. However, the user does not need to worry about header data such as device number, branch or data entry, as these can be preset in the app settings. Alternatively, stock takers can also be assigned to a branch via COSYS WebDesk. Through the app authentication (entry of user and password), this data is then automatically specified in the app and can no longer be edited by the stock taker.


The procedure for entering items is extremely simple, as the user only has to scan the counting location and the item number and enter the quantity manually. Thanks to the stored master data, this is also very easy, as the app automatically checks whether the scanned data matches the master data. When scanning barcodes, you can use the integrated barcode scanner on mobile computers or the device camera on smartphones. Alternatively, counting places and items can be typed in manually or the item full text search can be used. Once an item has been entered, it is displayed together with all other items in a small stock take list below the entry screen.

Article capturing can also be performed with the quantity always 1 function. This changes the workflow slightly by eliminating the manual quantity count. All you have to do is check the quantity always 1 box at the top of the entry screen. The user only scans the counting station and the item number. To capture the quantity, they must scan all articles in the storage bin. Each scan corresponds to quantity 1 and is summarized for each article at the end. This simplifies item-specific stock taking by barcode scan and prevents careless mistakes and incorrect entries.

If errors occurred during the stock take, these can be corrected on the go in the app. You can use the stock taking correction function to correct incorrectly recorded quantities. Simply select the counting station and the item you want to correct and re-enter the correct quantity. A comment can optionally be added to provide further information about the correction.

You can view all recorded items in the app via item list. You can look up information on each item, such as the counting location, the quantities, the item text and the price. You can also use the item list to delete items that have been entered incorrectly.
